Scope

This part of GB/T 14480 specifies the performance of general eddy current testing systems and provides performance measurement and inspection methods. Allows for clear and detailed descriptions and comparisons of eddy current testing equipment to evaluate testing system performance. For specialized applications, a consistent and effective eddy current inspection system can be designed by selecting system properties. When using auxiliary equipment, the principles of this part of GB/T 14480 should be applied for characterization. This part does not give the performance test index nor specify the acceptance criteria, these contents are given in the application technical documents.
