Scope

This standard presents the minimum requirements for acceptable subsurface safety valves (SSSV), covering all components of a subsurface safety valve whose tolerances and clearances can affect the performance or interchangeability of a subsurface safety valve, including maintenance operations and Interfaces associated with flow control equipment, but not involving connections to downhole tubing strings.
