This part specifies the selection principles of the rated withstand voltage of the phase-to-ground insulation, phase-to-phase insulation and longitudinal insulation of the high-voltage power transmission and transformation equipment and facilities in the three-phase AC system, specifies the standard rated withstand voltage of these equipment, and gives The series with standard rated withstand voltage should be selected from this series in principle. This section applies to three-phase AC systems with a nominal voltage above 1kV. The selected rated withstand voltage should be related to the highest voltage of the equipment. This association is for insulation coordination purposes only. This section does not include requirements for the safety of personnel. The principles of this section also apply to the insulation coordination of transmission lines, but the withstand voltage value may be different from the standard rated withstand voltage specified in this section. When formulating each equipment standard, the rated withstand voltage and test procedures suitable for this type of equipment should be stipulated according to the requirements of this part.
