This standard specifies the terms and definitions, service conditions, ratings, design and structure, type test and factory test requirements for high-voltage AC switchgear and control equipment. This standard applies to AC switchgear and control equipment designed to be installed indoors or outdoors and operating in power systems with a voltage of 3kV and above and a frequency of 50 Hz and below. Unless otherwise specified for specific types of switchgear and controlgear in relevant product standards, this standard applies to all high-voltage AC switchgear and controlgear. Note 1: In order to facilitate the use of this standard, the voltage range of high-voltage switchgear in the usual sense refers to the rated voltage of 3.6kV and above. In practical applications, the rated voltage range of medium voltage switchgear is 3.6kV~63kV; the rated voltage range of high voltage switchgear is 72.5kV~252kV; the rated voltage range of extra high voltage switchgear is 363kV~800kV; The voltage range is 1100kV and above. Note 2: High-voltage AC switchgear and control equipment with a rated frequency of 60 Hz can refer to this standard. Note 3: The high-voltage AC switchgear and control equipment used in the electrified railway power supply and distribution system can refer to this standard.
