- Scope
- This part of GB/T 15766 applies to replaceable bulbs (filament bulbs and discharge lamps) used in headlamps, fog lamps and signal lamps of road motor vehicles. Especially suitable for bulbs listed in IEC 60809. This section also applies to other bulbs within the scope of this section. This part specifies the requirements and test methods for bulb life, luminous flux maintenance, torsional strength, glass bulb strength, vibration and shock resistance. In addition, temperature limits, maximum bulb profile and maximum permissible voltage surge are given as guidelines for the design of lighting and electrical installations. For some of the requirements given in this section, refer to the data in the tables of this section. For bulbs not listed in the table, the relevant data are provided by the bulb producers and responsible sellers. These performance requirements are in addition to the basic requirements specified in IEC 60809. However, these performance requirements are not used for the purpose of type approval of the product by the authority.
