This document establishes requirements for the management and control of activities in drain and sewer systems outside buildings and specifies requirements for development and implementation of work programmes, and the selection of techniques. This document together with EN 14654-1:2021 covers the control of inputs from users. It is applicable to drain and sewer systems from the point where wastewater leaves a building, roof drainage system, or paved area, to the point where it is discharged into a wastewater treatment plant or receiving water body. Drains and sewers below buildings are included provided that they do not form part of the drainage system of the building.

1.1 This specification describes material and physical requirements for nonrigid poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) preformed molded and spliced gaskets used in mechanical couplings. These couplings are used in gravity flow drain, waste, and vent (DWV), sewer, sanitary, and storm plumbing systems. They include couplings to join similar and dissimilar piping sizes and piping material. 1.2 It is acceptable to use recycled materials in this product in accordance with the requirements in Section 4. 1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. 1.1 This specification covers the minimum performance and material requirements for resilient connectors used for connections between reinforced concrete manholes conforming to Specification C478/C478M and pipes, between wastewater structures and pipes, and between precast reinforced concrete pipe and laterals. 1.1.1 These connectors are designed to minimize leakage between the pipe and manhole, and between the pipe and lateral. 1.2 The values stated in inch pound or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard. The SI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the standard. NOTE 1—This specification covers the design, material, and performance of the resilient connection only. Connections covered by this specification are adequate for hydrostatic pressures up to 13 psi (30 ft) [90 kPa (9.1 m)] without leakage when tested in accordance with Section 7. 1.1 This practice covers requirements and test methods for the reconstruction of a sewer service lateral pipe having an inner diameter of 3 to 12 in. (7.6 to 30.5 cm) and its connection to the main pipe having an inner diameter of 6 to 24 in. (15.2 to 61.0 cm) and up the lateral a maximum of 150 ft (46 m) without excavation. The lateral pipe is accessed remotely from the main pipe and from a lateral access point. This will be accomplished by the installation of a resin impregnated onepiece main and lateral cured-in-place lining (MLCIPL) by means of air inflation and inversion. The MLCIPL is pressed against the host pipe by pressurizing a bladder and is held in place until the thermoset resins have cured. When cured, the MLCIPL shall be a continuous, one piece, tight fitting, corrosion resistant lining extending over a predetermined length of the lateral pipe and the adjacent section of the main pipe, providing a verifiable non-leaking structural connection and seal. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard.
