NOTE Annex A gives information on ISO grade designation and available UNS numbers which are similar to the ISO grade designations.

The four steel grades are intended for service at ambient temperature. However, properties at other temperatures can be agreed on through the use of supplementary requirements in ISO 4990.

The Supplementary requirements shall apply only when specified individually by the purchaser in the purchase order or contract. 1.4 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard.
