- Scope
- This standard specifies the radiation protection requirements for radiotherapy. This standard applies to the use of medical electron accelerators, cobalt-60 therapy machines, neutron radiation sources and gamma radiation source afterloading therapy machines, X-ray and gamma-ray stereotactic radiotherapy systems, helical tomotherapy systems, and intraoperative radiotherapy Protection requirements for radiotherapy carried out by mobile electron accelerators, medical X-ray therapy machines, low-energy X-ray radiotherapy equipment, and proton heavy ion accelerators. This standard does not apply to radiation protection for radioactive seed implantation and radionuclide application therapy.
