Scope

This part of GB7251 specifies the definition, service conditions, structural requirements, technical characteristics and verification requirements of low-voltage switchgear and control equipment (hereinafter referred to as complete equipment) (see 3.1.1). This section cannot be used alone to specify a complete equipment or to determine conformity. The complete set of equipment should follow the relevant parts of the GB7251 series; from Part 2 onwards. This Part applies only to low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies that comply with the following relevant standard requirements for complete equipment: ---Complete equipment with rated voltage AC not exceeding 1000V and DC not exceeding 1500V; ---With or without enclosure fixed or mobile complete sets of equipment; - complete sets of equipment used in conjunction with equipment for power generation, transmission, distribution and conversion of electrical energy, and equipment for controlling electrical energy consumption; - complete sets of equipment designed for special conditions of use , such as complete sets of equipment used by ships and rolling stock, as long as they meet other relevant specific requirements; Note 1: GB/T 7061 contains supplementary requirements for complete sets of marine equipment. --- Assemblies designed for electrical equipment of machines, assuming compliance with other relevant specific requirements. Note 2: The GB5226 series of standards contains supplementary requirements for complete sets of equipment that form part of the machine. This section applies to those one-off design, manufacture and verification or fully standardized series of complete equipment. Production and/or assembly may not be performed by the original manufacturer (see 3.10.1). This section does not apply to individual devices and packaged components that meet their respective product standards, such as motor starters, knife fuse switches, electronic equipment, etc.
