Scope
This part of GB 7251 specifies the definition, service conditions, structural requirements, technical characteristics and verification requirements of low-voltage switchgear and control equipment (hereinafter referred to as complete equipment) (see 3.1.1). This standard cannot be used alone to specify a complete equipment or to ensure conformity. The complete set of equipment shall follow the relevant parts of the GB 7251 series; from Part 2 onwards. This standard applies only to low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies that comply with the following relevant standard requirements for complete equipment: - complete equipment with a rated voltage not exceeding 1 000 V for AC and 1 500 V for DC; - with or without enclosure Stationary or mobile plants with enclosures; - plants for use with equipment for the generation, transmission, distribution and conversion of electric energy and for controlling the consumption of electric energy; - those plants designed for special conditions of use , such as complete sets of equipment for ships, rolling stock, as long as they meet other relevant specific requirements; - complete sets designed for the electrical equipment of machines, provided that they meet other relevant specific requirements. This section applies to those one-off design, manufacture and verification or fully standardized series of complete equipment. Production and/or assembly may not be performed by the original manufacturer (see 3.10.1). This part of ISO 10000 is applicable to individual and device components and packaged components, such as motor starters, knife fuse switches, electronic equipment, etc., that comply with the respective relevant product standards.
