Scope
This part of GB/T 18802 specifies the characteristics, standard test methods and ratings of low-voltage surge protective devices, which contain at least one non-linear element used to limit voltage and discharge surge current. This standard applies to protectors for protection against the indirect and direct effects of lightning or other transient overvoltage surges. These appliances are assembled and connected to circuits and equipment with an AC rated voltage not exceeding 1000V (rms), 50/60 Hz. Note: In addition to meeting the requirements of this part, the SPD used in the wind power generation system shall refer to the requirements of the corresponding standards for its special environmental conditions and continuous peak voltage.
