Scope
This part is for use in AC 1000 V and below or DC 1500 V and below power supply lines, communication and signal systems to protect equipment, personnel or both from high transient voltage hazards. Test specification for resistance. This specification applies to two-electrode MOVs and not to hybrid devices. This specification also does not consider the effect of accessories and their installation on the characteristics of MOV. The characteristics given apply only to MOVs mounted as described in the tests.
