GB/T 8243.4-2003 Methods of test for full-flow lubricating oil filters for internal combustion engines--Part 4: Initial particle retention efficiency, life and cumulative efficiency(gravimetric method) (English Version)
This part of GB/T 8243 specifies the test methods for determining the performance of full-flow oil filters for internal combustion engines. 'Chapter 2: Original Filtration Efficiency. The test procedure and parameters for measuring the original filtration efficiency of the oil filter element under the specified test conditions are given. According to the test results sorted out in 2.6, the estimated filtration efficiency at any particle size can be obtained. Filtration efficiency is determined by gravimetric method. Chapter 3: Lifetime and Cumulative Efficiency. The test procedures and parameters for determining the life and cumulative efficiency of oil filter elements are given. Cumulative efficiency was determined gravimetrically. Note: After mutual agreement between the filter manufacturer and the user, large filters can be tested on filters that are scaled down in length. At this time, the filter flow rate and the ratio of the test ash addition to the effective length of the filter medium should be the same as that of the full-size filter. For this part of GB/T 8243, when the test flow rate is greater than 100 L/min, it is considered a large filter.
