Scope

This part of GB/T 1149 specifies the basic dimensional characteristics of spiral spring oil rings with piston ring types DSF-C, DSF-CNP, SSF, GSF, DSF, DSF-NG and SSF-L. The cast iron ring body of the spiral spring oil ring is recommended to use the material of grade 10 specified in IS0 6621-3, and the material of grade 20 to 50 can be used if there are special requirements. The surface of the oil ring and the corresponding support spring groove design can be selected from the ordinary type or the chrome-plated type according to the manufacturer's recommendation. The tangential spring force of the coil spring oil ring can vary in a wide range. See Chapter 6 for details and recommended values. The ring height of the spiral spring oil ring is generally in the range of 3mm to 8mm, and it is incremented at intervals of 0.5mm or 1.0mm. Tables 15 to 20 specify the size of the currently used imperial ring height 4.75mm (3/16") spiral spring oil rings. This part is applicable to spiral spring oil rings for reciprocating internal combustion engines with cylinder diameters less than or equal to 200mm .The spiral spring oil ring for compressors working under similar conditions can also be used as a reference.
