Scope
The special requirements of this part apply to temporary installations used as construction and demolition sites during construction or demolition operations, such as the following: - construction work for new buildings; - repair, modification, extension or demolition of existing buildings or - works involving parts of buildings; - public works; - earthworks; - works of a similar nature to the above. These requirements apply to fixed or movable installations. This Part does not apply to: - devices covered by the GB 9089 series of standards, where the equipment involved is similar to that used in surface mining. - Installations in administrative places (offices, changing rooms, meeting rooms, canteens, restaurants, dormitories, toilets, etc.) some common standards.
