Scope
This standard specifies the emission limits and measurement methods of exhaust pollutants, dual-idle exhaust pollutants, crankcase pollutants, and evaporative pollutants at room temperature and low temperature for light vehicles equipped with ignition engines, and the durability of pollution control devices. , On-board diagnostics (OBD) system (referred to as OBD system) technical requirements and measurement methods. This standard specifies the emission limits and measurement methods of exhaust pollutants and free acceleration smoke at room temperature for light vehicles equipped with compression ignition engines, the durability of pollution control devices, the technical requirements and measurement methods of OBD systems. This standard specifies the requirements for type approval of light vehicles, inspection and judgment methods for production consistency and in-use compliance. This standard also specifies the special requirements for light-duty vehicles fueled with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or natural gas (NG). This standard also specifies the type approval procedures for pollutant emissions of alternative pollution control devices intended to be installed on light-duty vehicles as independent technical assemblies. This standard also stipulates the technical requirements for vehicles using reactants in the exhaust aftertreatment system, and the emission test procedures for vehicles equipped with periodic regeneration systems. This standard applies to light-duty vehicles (including hybrid electric vehicles) powered by ignition engines or compression ignition engines with a maximum design speed greater than or equal to 50km/h. Under the requirements of the manufacturer, vehicles of categories M1, M2 and N2 whose maximum gross mass exceeds 3 500 kg but whose reference mass does not exceed 2 610 kg can be tested according to this standard. Type approval; for models that have obtained the type approval of this standard, it can be extended to M1, M2, N1 and N2 class cars. This standard does not apply to vehicles that have obtained Phase V type approval in accordance with the provisions of GB 17691-2005.
