This part of GB/T 31301 specifies the safety requirements for the design, structure and use of sand mills and polishers. This section contains all major hazards, hazardous states and hazardous events associated with sanding and polishing machines arising from the operator's intended use and foreseeable misuse of the machine (see Appendix A). This standard applies to machines used in the footwear industry for processing materials, namely: sand mills (including coarse grinders, fine grinders) and polishers. This section does not apply to combined shoe repair machines.
