1.1 This specification covers gabions and revet mattresses produced from double-twisted metallic-coated wire mesh, and metallic-coated wire for lacing wire, stiffeners, and fasteners used for manufacturing, assembling, and installation of the product. This European Standard specifies two methods for determining the numerical evaluation of the adhesion of strippable films which have previously been applied to an organic coating on a metallic substrate. Samples can be tested irrespective of whether the strippable film has been applied in the laboratory or on the production line. NOTE Method 1 is preferred for films with adhesive and method 2 for films without adhesive.

1.1 This test method covers the measurement of film thickness of dried films of paint, varnish, lacquer, and related products using micrometers. Procedures A and B utilize stationary micrometers and Procedures C and D, hand-held micrometers. Procedures A and C are not recommended for films less than 12.5 ?m (0.5 mils) in thickness.
