This practice can be used to determine the number of pages an ink jet printer cartridge can print until it reaches its end-of-life by continuously printing predetermined page area coverage. This practice can be used for the evaluation of an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) cartridge compared to a refilled, remanufactured, or compatible ink jet printer cartridge when this practice is performed on the same printer. This practice is applicable to all ink jet cartridges, whether single or multi-color. This practice may be used for comparison between different ink jet printers that use the same cartridge(s) providing that print quality and media/paper settings are comparable. Comparable settings could typically be described as the printer’s default settings. This practice can be used to assess design goals of manufacturers of ink jet printer cartridges for ink capability, ink filling effectiveness, and the manufacturing process. This practice may be used for research and development, and for quality acceptance evaluation. The results produced by this practice can be used for competitive comparisons or the determination of cost per page analysis.1.1 This practice describes a continuous printing procedure to determine the page yield of an ink jet printer cartridge containing either a monochrome or a multi-color reservoir. Printing done continuously may result in a different page yield than that of intermittent printing. 1.2 This practice can be used to evaluate the page yield of an ink jet printer cartridge or a comparison between several ink jet printer cartridges when evaluated on the same ink jet printer model. This practice can also be used for a comparison between different printer models using the same cartridge number. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

1.1.1 Equipment covered by this standard This standard is applicable to mains-powered or battery-powered information technology equipment, including electrical business equipment and associated equipment, with a RATED VOLTAGE not exceeding 600 V. This standard is also applicable to such information technology equipment: − designed for use as telecommunication terminal equipment and TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK infrastructure equipment, regardless of the source of power; − designed and intended to be connected directly to, or used as infrastructure equipment in, a CABLE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, regardless of the source of power; − designed to use the AC MAINS SUPPLY as a communication transmission medium (see Clause 6, Note 4 and 7.1, Note 4). This standard is also applicable to components and subassemblies intended for incorporation in information technology equipment. It is not expected that such components and subassemblies comply with every aspect of the standard, provided that the complete information technology equipment, incorporating such components and subassemblies, does comply. This standard specifies requirements intended to reduce risks of fire, electric shock or injury for the OPERATOR and layman who may come into contact with the equipment and, where specifically stated, for a SERVICE PERSON. This standard is intended to reduce such risks with respect to installed equipment, whether it consists of a system of interconnected units or independent units, subject to installing, operating and maintaining the equipment in the manner prescribed by the manufacturer. This list is not intended to be comprehensive, and equipment that is not listed is not necessarily excluded from the Scope. Equipment complying with the relevant requirements in this standard is considered suitable for use with process control equipment, automatic test equipment and similar systems requiring information processing facilities. This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) will exame network aspects of open and shorted stubs, line reflections and bus loading due to network changes. Single network level is assumed, that is, no carriage store hierarchical levels. However, two passive network coupling variants called branched bus and branched stub will will be introduced that possibly could be used in a stores management netowrk. This document summarizes the results of hardware tests on simulated weapon data bus networks utilizing MIL-STD-1760. Unique to this application is the fact that the network is reconfigurable by connecting together mission dependent MIL-STD-1553B store remote terminals (RT)s at artificial network breakpoints. Further, during normal data bus operation the weapon RTs are physically removed from the network. That is, in-flight weapon separation from aircraft results in open stubs on the bus network. All this gives rise to changing network conditions, stubs exposed to harsh environments (such as during rocket motor firing), noise interference, interoperable store requirements for US/NATO military services and controversy about the effect of open stubs on bus performance.

This part of IEC 60950 specifies requirements for information technology equipment (ITE) with self contained data storage systems that contain hazardous moving parts. These data storage systems are typically large enough to permit a person to enter completely, however, the systems also include similar large equipment permitting complete limb or head access to the area containing hazardous moving parts. These requirements are additional to the relevant requirements in IEC 60950-1. The maximum three dimensional reach of a cartridge accessory assembly typically has a minimum motion envelop of 0,75 m or more. The equipments shall be installed in a restricted access location, such as a data centre. The exceptions for 2.1.3 and 4.5.4 noted in 1.2.7.3 of IEC 60950-1 do not apply to this Part 23. NOTE 1 An example of equipment covered by this scope is an automated information mass storage and retrieval system that uses integral hazardous moving parts for the handling of recorded media (for example, tape cartridges, tape cassettes, optical disks, etc.) and similar functions. This standard is not applicable to equipment with non-self-contained hazardous moving parts, such as robotic equipment installed in an industrial environment. NOTE 2 For standards related to robotic equipment in an industrial environment, see IEC 60204-1, IEC 60204-11 and ISO 10218.

This standard defines a set of modeling rules for writing Verilog HDL descriptions for synthesis. Adher-ence to these rules guarantees the interoperability of Verilog HDL descriptions between register-transfer level synthesis tools that comply to this standard. The standard defines how the semantics of Verilog HDL are used, for example, to describe level- and edge-sensitive logic. It also describes the syntax of the language with reference to what shall be supported and what shall not be supported for interoperability. Use of this standard will enhance the portability of Verilog-HDL-based designs across synthesis tools con-forming to this standard. In addition, it will minimize the potential for functional mismatch that may occur between the RTL model and the synthesized netlist.
