This part of GB/T15092 stipulates the technical requirements such as marking and documentation of appliance switches, protection against electric shock, structural requirements, institutional requirements, mechanical properties, and electrical properties. This Part applies to appliance switches (hereinafter referred to as switches) for actuating or controlling household or similar electrical appliances and other equipment, with a rated voltage not higher than 480V and a rated current not higher than 63A. Such switches are operated by a person via an actuator, indirectly or by activating a sensor. The signal transmission between the actuator or the sensor and the switch can be optical, acoustic, temperature, electrical or other related transmission, and can also include a remote control device. This section applies to switches that provide additional control functions, which are subject to the electronic circuits and devices provided by the switch, and are required for intentional and/or correct operation of the switch. This section applies to circuits required for the evaluation of switches and switch functions. This section applies to the general requirements for appliance switches in conjunction with the following sections: --- Part 11: Requirements for mechanical switches; --- Part 12: Requirements for electronic switches.
