Scope

1.1 This part of GB 15092 is applicable to appliance switches (mechanical or electronic) actuated by hands, feet or other human body movements for actuating or controlling household or similar electrical appliances and other equipment, the rated voltage of which is not higher At 440V, the rated current is not more than 63A. This type of switch is intended to be operated by a person via an actuator or by actuating a sensor. The actuator or sensor can be physically or electrically integrated with the switch, or it can be configured separately, and may also include signal transmission between the actuator or sensor and the switch, for example, electrical, optical, acoustic or Temperature signal transmission. Switches with additional control functions required by the on and off functions fall within the scope of this standard. This standard also includes indirectly actuated switches, when the operation of the actuator or sensor is achieved by a remote control, appliance or part of the equipment (such as a door). However, for other types of switches not mentioned in Part 2, this standard may be used as long as electrical safety is involved. 1.2 This standard applies to switches intended to be incorporated in, on or incorporated into an appliance. 1.3 This standard also applies to switches incorporating electronic components. 1.4 This standard also applies to switches for the following appliances: - switches intended to be connected to a flexible cable (cord switches); - switches integrated with the appliance (combined switches); Switches within the scope of IEC 60669-1 (independently installed switches); - change-over selectors for which no special requirements have been specified in Part 2 of GB 15092. 1.5 This section does not contain requirements for isolating switches. 1.6 This standard does not apply to those electrical appliances that control appliances and equipment without human conscious actuation. These electrical appliances fall within the scope of GB 14536.
