This standard specifies the gas chromatographic method for the determination of trans fatty acids and their isomers in food. This standard applies to the determination of trans fatty acids in animal and vegetable oils, hydrogenated vegetable oils, refined vegetable oils and frying oils, and foods containing animal and vegetable oils, hydrogenated vegetable oils, refined vegetable oils and frying oils.
