Scope

This standard specifies the characteristics and tests of insulating bushings. This standard applies to the bushings used in electrical equipment and devices such as electrical appliances, transformers, switches, etc. in the three-phase AC system with a maximum voltage higher than 1000V and a frequency (15-60) Hz defined in Chapter 3. Upon agreement between the supplier and the purchaser, this standard can be partially or fully applied to the following situations: - bushings for non-three-phase AC systems; - bushings for high-voltage direct current systems; - bushings for test transformers; - bushings for capacitors Tube. The special requirements and tests for transformer bushings in this standard also apply to reactor bushings. This standard applies to bushings that are made and sold separately. Bushings forming part of electrical equipment and which cannot be tested in accordance with this standard shall be tested together with the electrical equipment.
