This chapter of GB 4706.1-2005 is replaced by the following content: This part specifies the safety of household and similar outdoor grills for single-phase appliances whose rated voltage does not exceed 250V. Appliances which are not intended for general household use but which may nevertheless pose a danger to the public, such as appliances intended for use by non-professionals in shops, light industry and on farms, are also within the scope of this standard. The appliances covered by this standard present general hazards that all persons may encounter in the dwelling and in the surrounding environment of the dwelling. In general, however, this standard does not address: — persons (including young children) who cannot safely use appliances without supervision or instruction due to · physical, sensory or mental abilities, or · lack of experience and knowledge — the situation of young children playing with the appliance. This Part does not apply to: - Grills used indoors (GB 4706.14); - Appliances intended to burn charcoal or similar flammable fuels; - Appliances intended exclusively for industrial use; - Appliances intended to be used in special environments appliances, such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres (dust, steam or gas).
