Scope
This part of GBT 3859 specifies the performance of all semiconductor power converters and semiconductor power switches using controllable and (or) uncontrollable electronic valve devices. Electronic valve devices mainly include semiconductor devices, including uncontrollable devices (ie rectifier diodes) and controllable devices (ie various thyristors and power transistors). The controllable device can reversely block or reversely conduct, and can be controlled by means of current, voltage or light. Assume that the non-bistable device operates in the switching state. This part mainly specifies the basic requirements for converters in general, and the requirements for grid-commutated converters applicable to converting alternating current to direct current or converting direct current to alternating current. If there is no product standard for other types of power electronic converters, the contents of this section also apply. These specific requirements apply to semiconductor power converters for power conversion, commutation (for example: semiconductor self-commutated converters) or special applications (for example: semiconductor converters for direct current motor drives), or known characteristics Combinations (for example: direct DC converters for electric drive rolling stock). This part applies to all power converters that are not covered by specific product standards or whose special performance is not covered by specific product standards. Specific product standards for power converters should refer to this part.
