This standard specifies the self-tapping thread conforming to GB/T 5280, the performance of self-tapping screws whose drill part can drill threaded prefabricated holes during installation, and heat-treated self-tapping screws. When this screw extrudes the thread that cooperates with it, it is the drill part of the aid screw and the threaded part connected with it, and the thread is extruded after drilling first. The purpose of this standard is to ensure that the screws are not deformed or broken during the process of drilling prefabricated holes and extruding threads, and that no overload occurs. Therefore, the following properties are considered to be the most important indicators for evaluating the mechanical and operational performance of self-drilling and self-tapping screws: - surface hardness; - the ability to drill prefabricated holes and squeeze the internal thread mated with it; - torsional strength.
