Scope
This part of GB/T 3098 specifies the mechanical properties of bolts, screws, studs and screws made of fine-grained non-quenched and tempered steel and tested at an ambient temperature of 10 °C to 35 °C. Fasteners judged to comply with the technical requirements of this standard at this ambient temperature condition may not achieve the specified mechanical and physical properties at higher or lower temperatures. The fasteners applicable to this part of GB/T 3098 shall comply with: Fine-grained non-quenched and tempered steel produced by thermomechanical rolling process; Ordinary thread in accordance with GB/T 192; Coarse thread M6~M16; Fine thread M8×1~M16×1.5; Comply with the combination of diameter and pitch specified in GB/T 193; Comply with the thread tolerance specified in GB/T 197 or GB/T 22029. This standard does not apply to set screws and similar fasteners that are not subject to tension.
