This part of GB/T 3098 specifies the mechanical properties of set screws and similar fasteners that are not subject to tensile stress when they are made of austenitic corrosion-resistant stainless steel and tested at an ambient temperature of 10 °C to 35 °C. performance. It may perform differently at higher or lower temperatures. Set screws and similar fasteners applicable to this part: --Nominal thread diameter 1.6 mm≤d≤24 mm; Ordinary thread;--of any shape. This standard does not apply to screws with special performance requirements, such as weldability. This section does not specify corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance in special environments. Corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and mechanical properties for use at high temperatures or below zero can be agreed between the user and the manufacturer for each particular occasion. Appendix D shows how the risk of intergranular corrosion depends on the carbon content under high temperature conditions. This part is to classify corrosion-resistant stainless steel fasteners according to their hardness grades. All austenitic stainless steel fasteners are usually non-magnetic in the solid solution state; after cold deformation, some will show obvious magnetic properties (see Appendix E).
