GB 4706.54-2008 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances.Part 2:Particular requirements for walk-behind and hand-held lawn trimmers and lawn edge trimmers (English Version)
This section applies to walking and hand-held lawn trimmers, lawn trimmers, which have non-metallic fiber rope cutting elements or free-rotating non-metallic cutting devices, respectively, with a kinetic energy not greater than 10J, by a standing operator For mowing operations, their rated voltage current is not more than 250V or d.c. Not more than 50V. Where applicable, this section deals with the general hazards to all persons arising from normal use and reasonably foreseeable misuse of trimmers. This section does not apply to: - shearing lawn trimmers and lawn trimmers whose cutting devices are different from the above-mentioned cutting devices; - self-propelled lawn trimmers and lawn trimmers; - cutting device control devices Lawn trimmers and lawn edgers with a distance of less than 600 mm from the cutting head; - battery-operated lawn trimmers and lawn edgers with batteries that must be removed for charging. EMC and environmental aspects other than noise requirements are not considered in this section.
