Scope
This part of GB 3836 specifies the special requirements for the structure and test of positive pressure enclosure type electrical equipment "P" for explosive gas atmospheres. The requirements in this part are supplementary to GB 3836.1. This standard specifies requirements for positive pressure enclosures containing restricted release of flammable substances. This standard does not cover the requirements for positive pressure enclosures containing built-in systems that can release flammable substances: a) air with an oxygen content greater than normal, or b) a mixture of oxygen and inert gases greater than 21%. This standard does not include requirements for positive pressure chambers or analysis chambers.
