This part of GB 3836 specifies the requirements for design, construction, inspection and marking of increased safety type "e" protection for electrical equipment used in explosive gas atmospheres. This standard applies to electrical equipment with a rated voltage not exceeding 11 kV (AC rms or DC) and taking some additional measures to ensure that no dangerous temperatures, arcs and sparks are generated during normal operation or under specified abnormal conditions. This part is the supplement and modification of the general requirements of GB 3836.1-2010. If the requirements of this part conflict with the requirements of GB 3836.1-2010, this part shall prevail.
