Scope
This part of GB 3836 stipulates the special requirements for the structure and evaluation of the electrical system whose whole or part is intended to be used in a Class II explosive gas atmosphere and whose explosion-proof type is intrinsically safe "i". This section is intended for use by designers of intrinsically safe systems, who may be manufacturing plants, expert consultants, or end-user personnel. This part is a supplement and modification to GB 3836.4-2010. The requirements of GB 3836.4-2010 are applicable to electrical equipment in intrinsically safe electrical systems.
