GB 4706.32-2004 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances Particular requirements for heat Pumps,air-conditioner and dehumidifier (English Version)
This chapter of GB 4706.1-1998 is replaced by the following content: This part of GB 4706 is applicable to the safety of heat pumps (including domestic hot water heat pumps), air conditioners and dehumidifiers equipped with fully enclosed motor-compressors and room fan coils , the maximum rated voltage of single-phase appliances does not exceed 250V; the rated voltage of other appliances does not exceed 600V. Appliances which are not intended for general household use but which are still dangerous to the public, such as those used in shops, light industry and on farms by persons unfamiliar with the use of electricity, are also within the scope of this standard. The above appliance may consist of components produced by one factory or several factories. If multiple components are provided and these individual components are to be used together, the technical requirements of this standard shall be based on the use of the components assembled together. Note 1: The definition of "hermetic motor-compressor" is given in IEC 60335-2-34. Note 2: The safety requirements for refrigerants are given in IS0 5149. In addition, the requirements for containers used to store hot water in domestic hot water heat pumps are given in IEC 60335-2-21. Note 3: For appliances using flammable refrigerants, additional requirements are under consideration. Auxiliary heaters (only refers to heaters designed as part of the appliance assembly, the controller is installed in the appliance), or other devices installed independently are within the scope of this standard. Note 4: Attention must be paid to the following: - for appliances intended to be used in vehicles, boats or aircraft, additional requirements may be required; - for appliances intended to be used in tropical countries, special requirements may be required; - for appliances intended to be used in tropical countries; For pressure appliances, additional requirements may be required; - health authorities, labor protection departments and water conservancy departments and similar authorities in many countries have additional requirements. For appliances intended to be permanently connected to the water supply, all relevant requirements shall be complied with. Note 5: This Part does not apply to: - Humidifiers with heating and cooling equipment complying with the provisions of IEC 60335-2-88; - Appliances specially designed for industrial engineering; - Prepared to be used under certain special conditions appliances, for example, where corrosive or explosive gases (dust, steam or gas) are present.
