Scope
This part of GB/T 14048 specifies the rules and industrial application of the control unit, which performs the switching function according to the signal of the thermal detector (in accordance with GB/T 13002-2008) integrated with the rotating electrical machine. For systems containing positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor detectors with special characteristics, this section specifies the rules for the system and its associated control unit. The PT100 detector complies with the requirements of IEC60751, which stipulates the resistance value corresponding to the temperature of the detector. This part of ISO 10001 lists the coordination characteristic requirements when this particular PTC thermistor detector and its associated control unit (referred to as "Type A detector" and "Type A control unit") are used in a thermal protection system. NOTE: Since the operating characteristics of the control unit depend on certain aspects of the thermal detector, it is impossible to specify all requirements for the operating characteristics of the control unit. Certain requirements for thermal protection systems can only be determined taking into account the characteristics of the rotating electrical machine being protected and the manner in which detectors are installed within the machine. In view of the above reasons, it must be specified for each characteristic which party is responsible for specifying the characteristic value, which party is responsible for the consistency verification, and which party is responsible for the confirmation test.
