Scope
This standard applies to individual contacts for the considered use, such as control electrical shape elements. This section considers two cases of rated voltage: a) the contacts are used to switch loads that may have galvanic corrosion, such as the input of a programmable controller, and the rated voltage is greater than or equal to 10V (typically 24V); b) electric Conditions where corrosion is negligible, such as electronic circuits, with a rated voltage of less than 10 V (typically 5 V). This standard does not apply to hoes used to measure very small volumes, such as sensors or thermocouple systems.
