- Scope
- This part of GB 14048 specifies the requirements for threaded or non-screwed terminal blocks that are mainly used for industrial or similar purposes and are installed on brackets to provide electrical connections and mechanical connections for copper conductors. This section applies to circuits with a rated voltage AC not exceeding 1 000 V, a frequency up to 1 000 Hz or a DC not exceeding 1 500 V, for connections with a cross-sectional area of 0.2 mm2~300 mm2( AWG24/600 kcmil) Terminal block for round copper conductors with or without special processing. The following products can use this part as a guide: -- Terminal blocks that require special devices on the wires, such as quick-connect terminals or wrap-around connections, etc.; terminal blocks, such as insulation transfer connectors, etc.; -- special types of terminal blocks, such as those with diodes or varistors or similar component holders. When referring to GB 14048.1-2012, the term "clamping member" is used in this part instead of "terminal".
