This part of GB 14048 applies to fuse terminal blocks with threaded and non-threaded clamps connected to hard copper wires (single core wire or multi-strand wire) or soft copper wires. The fuse terminal block carries or uses tubular fuses described in IEC 60127-2:2003. It is mainly used in industrial or similar circuits with AC not exceeding 1000 V, frequency up to 1000 Hz or DC not exceeding 1500 V, with a maximum short-circuit breaking capacity of 1500 A. The fuse terminal block is installed in the electrical equipment with the enclosure. The housing should enclose the terminal block in such a way that it is only accessible with the aid of a tool. In some occasions, such as in control circuits, the fuse terminal block can be designed specifically for short-circuit protection. The purpose of this part is to formulate detailed safety requirements and test methods for mechanical, electrical and thermal performance for fuse terminal blocks to ensure compatibility between terminal blocks and standardized fuses. The following products can use this part as a guideline: - Fuse terminal blocks that require special devices on the wires, such as: quick-connect terminals or wrap-around connections, etc.; Terminal block for fuses in direct contact with conductors. For example: connection of insulation movement, etc. When referring to IEC 60947-1:2007, the term "clamping member" in this part replaces "terminal".
