This chapter of GB 4706.1-2005 is replaced by the following content: This part involves the rated input power not exceeding 300W, the rated voltage of single-phase appliances not exceeding 250V, and the rated voltage of other appliances not exceeding 480V. Circulation pump safety. Appliances which are not intended for general household use but which may nonetheless pose a danger to the public, such as appliances intended for use by non-professional persons in shops, light industry and on farms, also fall within the scope of this standard. As far as practical is concerned, the appliances covered by this standard present common hazards which all persons may encounter in the dwelling and in the surrounding environment of the dwelling. In general, however, this standard does not address: - the dangers of unattended young children and disabled persons using appliances; - the situation of young children playing with appliances.
