GB/T 5169.23-2008 Fire hazard testing for electric and electronic products.Part 23:Test flames.500 W vertical flame test method for tubular polymeric materials (English Version)
This part of GB/T 5169 specifies small-scale laboratory procedures for determining the comparative combustion characteristics of tubular polymeric materials. The flame is applied to the test specimen supported by a wire or mandrel and held in a vertical position. After removing the test flame, determine the flame extinguishment time and combustion characteristics. This test method is suitable for comparing the combustion characteristics of tubular polymeric materials. This test method is not suitable for comparing the combustion characteristics of wire and cable products and cable management systems. This test method is suitable for comparing the relative properties of materials and is useful for material selection for quality control and quality assurance.
