Scope
This part of GB/T 5169 provides guidelines for factors affecting the risk of fire poisoning of electrical and electronic products; at the same time, it also provides the methods recommended by ISO/TC92 (SC 3) to assess and reduce the risk of fire poisoning. These methods are described in ISO 19706, ISO Described in 13344 and ISO 13571. There is no single test that can truly rate the poisoning hazard of a fire. A small-scale toxicity test by itself cannot assess the poisoning risk of a fire. Existing toxicity tests focus on measuring the toxic effects of combustion streams generated in the laboratory. However, toxic effects should not be confused with poisoning hazard.
