Scope
This part of GB/T 5169 specifies in detail the glow-wire test method for the ignition test of solid electrical insulating materials or other solid material test samples, the purpose of which is to determine the glow-wire ignition temperature (GWIT). This test method is a material test performed on a series of standard specimens. The data obtained together with the data obtained by the IEC 60695-2-12 material glow wire flammability index (GWFI) test method, according to the GB/T 5169.9-2013 pre-selection procedure, evaluate whether the material meets the requirements of GB/T 5169.11-2006 .
