Scope
This part of GB/T 10066 specifies the test conditions and methods for determining the main parameters and technical operating characteristics of three-phase DC electric arc furnaces. This part applies to three-phase direct electric arc furnaces with a rated capacity equal to or greater than 500 kg, including three-phase AC electric arc furnaces, ladle refining furnaces, DC electric arc furnaces, etc. These furnaces are suitable for melting solid charge and refining liquid charge at or near atmospheric pressure. This standard also applies to electric arc furnaces having one or more electrodes other than three-phase furnaces. Electric arc furnaces for melting ferrous metals (e.g. steel, iron and non-ferrous metals (e.g. copper)) can also be used as holding furnaces for superheating and holding liquid charge before being released from the furnace. The purpose of this part is to determine the main parameters and technical operating characteristics of electric arc furnaces Standardization of test conditions and methods. Note 1: The conduct of these tests has nothing to do with compensation equipment. This part does not contain all possible test methods for the technical and economic evaluation of electric arc furnaces. Note 2: Supplementary test conditions are negotiated between the manufacturer and the user. Use See GB/T 3859.1-1993 for the test of some special equipment for direct current arc, such as the test of controllable rectifier.
