This part of GB/T 14598 specifies the general rules and requirements for measuring relays and protective devices and power system protection schemes composed of these devices, such as control, monitoring and process interface equipment, so that their requirements and tests are consistent. This section applies to all measuring relays and protective devices used for power system protection. If there are special provisions in other standards in this series, they should be used first. For special use environments (such as navigation, aerospace, explosive atmospheres, computers, etc.), additional special requirements should be formulated on the basis of the general requirements specified in this section. This requirement applies only to new measuring relays and protective devices. Unless otherwise specified, all tests specified in this section are type tests.
