Scope

This chapter of GB 19212.1-2008 is replaced by the following: This part of GB 19212 specifies the safety requirements for general-purpose safety isolation transformers and power supply units with built-in general-purpose safety isolation transformers. Transformers with electronic circuits are also included in this standard. Unless otherwise specified, the following "transformers" include general-purpose safety isolation transformers and power supply units incorporating general-purpose safety isolation transformers. This section applies to stationary or mobile, single-phase or multi-phase, air-cooled (self-cooled or air-cooled), independent and supporting dry-type transformers. Its windings can be encapsulated or non-encapsulated. The rated power supply voltage shall not exceed AC 1100V, and the rated frequency and internal operating frequency shall not exceed 500Hz. The rated output shall not exceed: - 10kVA for single-phase transformers; - 16kVA for multi-phase transformers. If the purchaser and manufacturer agree otherwise When there is an agreement, this standard also applies to transformers with no limitation on the rated output. No-load output voltage or rated output voltage does not exceed AC 50V or ripple-free DC 120V. This section does not apply to external circuits and their components intended to be connected to the input and output terminals of the transformer. This section applies to transformers that require double insulation or reinforced insulation between circuits in installation regulations or equipment specifications.
