Scope

This chapter of GB 19212.1-2008 is replaced by the following: This part specifies the safety requirements for general-purpose autotransformers and power supply units with built-in general-purpose autotransformers. Transformers with electronic circuits are also included in this standard. Unless otherwise specified, the following "transformers" include general-purpose autotransformers and power supply units incorporating general-purpose autotransformers. This section applies to stand-alone or mobile, single-phase or multi-phase, air-cooled (self-cooled or air-cooled) independent and supporting dry-type transformers. Windings can be encapsulated or non-encapsulated. The rated power supply voltage does not exceed AC 1100V, the rated frequency and internal operating frequency do not exceed 500Hz. The core capacity does not exceed: ——For single-phase transformers, it is 2kVA; ——For multi-phase transformers, it is 10kVA. Rated output does not exceed: —— For single-phase transformers, it is 40kVA; ——For multi-phase transformers, it is 200kVA. If the purchaser and manufacturer agree otherwise, this part also applies to transformers with no restrictions on core capacity and rated output. If applicable, the no-load output voltage or rated output voltage shall not exceed AC 1000V or ripple-free DC 1415V, and for independent transformers, the no-load output voltage and rated output voltage shall exceed AC 50V or ripple-free DC 120V. This part Not applicable to external circuits and their components intended to be connected to the input and output terminals of the transformer. Transformers covered by this standard are only suitable for use where partial insulation between circuits is required by installation regulations or final product standards.
