Scope

This chapter of GB 19212.1-2008 is replaced by the following: This part of GB 19212 specifies the safety requirements for small reactors for general purposes. Unless otherwise specified, the following "transformers" or "reactors" include small reactors. This section applies to stationary or mobile, single-phase or multi-phase, air-cooled (self-cooled or air-cooled), independent or supporting general-purpose reactors, including AC, pre-excitation and current compensation reactors. The rated power supply voltage shall not exceed AC 1000 V or ripple-free DC 1500 V, and the rated power frequency and internal operating frequency shall not exceed 1 MHz. The rated capacity shall not exceed: -- single-phase reactor, AC 25 kvar (DC 25 kW); -- multi-phase reactor, AC 50 kvar (DC 50 kW). When the purchaser and the manufacturer agree through consultation, this section also applies to reactors without rated capacity restrictions. This section applies to dry-type reactors. Its windings can be encapsulated or non-encapsulated. This section does not apply to: -- Reactors included in IEC 60289; -- Ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps included in IEC 61347-2-8; -- Discharge lamps included in IEC 61347-2-9 (excluding tubular fluorescent lamps ) with a ballast.
