Scope

This chapter of GB 14536.1-2008 is replaced by the following: 1.1 This part applies to the partial evaluation of GB 14536.1-2008 thermal protectors for electric motors, which is specified in GB 14536.1-2008 Household and similar uses, including heating, air conditioning and similar purpose thermal protector. GB 14536.1-2008 applies to motor thermal protectors using temperature controllers (NTC, PTC), and the additional requirements are included in Appendix J of GB 14536.1-2008. 1.1.1 This part applies to the inherent safety of thermal motor protectors; to the safety of equipment, operating time and operating procedures; to the tests of thermal motor protectors used in household and similar equipment. This section is also applicable to electric thermal protectors within the scope of GB 4706.1. 1.1.2 This section does not apply to other motor protection devices. 1.1.3 This section does not apply to manual devices for disconnecting circuits. 1.1.4 This section does not apply to electric thermal protectors for sealed or semi-hermetic motor compressors. 1.2 This part applies to thermal protectors for electric motors with a rated voltage equal to or less than 690V and a rated output power of 11KW or less. 1.5 Normative references The terms in the following documents become the terms of this part through the reference of this part. For dated reference documents, all subsequent amendments (excluding errata content) or revisions do not apply to this section, however, encourage the parties to the agreement under this section to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used . For undated references, the latest version applies to this section. This clause of GB 14536.1-2008 is applicable.
