Scope

This chapter in GB 14536.1 is applicable except for the following contents. 1.1 Replacement: This standard applies to controllers for automatic control of starting windings of single-phase motors for household appliances and similar equipment. This section applies to motor starter relays using NTC or PTC thermistors, see Appendix J for corresponding requirements. 1.1.1 This part applies to the inherent safety of electric automatic controls, to the operating values, operating times and operating procedures relevant to the safety of the equipment, and to the requirements for motor starter relays used in or with household or similar equipment. test. Starting relays for motors used in equipment not intended for general household use but used by non-professionals in public places, such as shops, light industry and farms, are also included in the scope of this standard. This standard does not apply to motor starter relays designed for industrial use only. 1.1.2 This part applies to starting relays equipped with electronic devices, and also applies to starting relays using thermistor elements, heating elements and magnetic elements. 1.1.3 This part does not apply to general-purpose relays or contactors and motor starters within the scope of GB 14048 series. This section does not apply to mechanical timers and mechanically operated electric starters. 1.1.4 This standard applies to those manual controls that are electrically or mechanically combined with a starting relay. The requirements for manual switches that do not form part of the starter are included in GB 15092.1. 1.2 Replacement: This part applies to starter relays with rated voltage not exceeding 690V and rated current not exceeding 63A. 1.3 Replacement: This part considers the response value of the automatic action depending on the installation method of the starting relay in the equipment. If this response value is meaningful for the protection of the user and the surrounding environment, the response value specified by the corresponding equipment standard or determined by the manufacturer applies. 1.4 Replacement: This part also applies to starting relays with electronic devices, see Appendix H for corresponding requirements.
