Scope

Replace this chapter of GB 14536.1 with the following: This part of GB 14536 is applicable to float-type and electrode-sensitive water level-sensitive electric automatic controls used in, on or with boilers for household and similar purposes with a maximum rated pressure of 2000kPa (20 bar) device. This standard applies to the test, inherent safety and operating values and operating procedures related to the protection of equipment for use in household and similar equipment, on equipment or with equipment. This section also applies to controllers for electrical appliances within the scope of GB 4706.1. GB 14536.2 does not apply to these controllers. Water level sensitive electric automatic controllers for equipment not intended for general household use but which may still be used by the public, such as equipment intended for use by non-electricians in shops, light industries and farms, are also within the scope of this standard. This section also applies to a separate controller as part of the control system or a controller that is mechanically combined with a multi-function controller with a non-electrical output. This section does not apply to pressure-operated water level-sensitive controllers. The requirements for these controllers are included in GB 14536.7. This section does not apply to water level sensitive controllers designed for industrial equipment. This standard applies to mechanically or electrically operated electric automatic controls that respond to or control water levels. This standard contains the electrical requirements for water level sensitive controllers and the mechanical performance requirements that may affect their intended operation. This section applies to manual controls combined with water level sensitive controls by electrical and/or mechanical means. Typically, these level sensitive controls are incorporated or integral with the equipment or are intended to be installed or incorporated into or on the equipment. This section also applies when these controllers are installed independently. Controllers with wires are not included in this section. This part applies to controllers with a rated voltage not exceeding 440V DC, 660V AC and a rated current not exceeding 63A. If the response value of the automatic action of the controller depends on the method of installation of the controller in the equipment, this section does not consider the response value. If the response value has an important effect on the safety of the user or the surrounding environment, the response value specified in the corresponding household appliance standard or determined by the manufacturer is applicable. This section also applies to controllers incorporating electronic devices, the requirements of which are included in Appendix H.
