This part of GB/T 5169 gives guidelines for the evaluation and selection of candidate materials, elements or assemblies for the manufacture of finished products based on preselection tests. This section explains that in the finished product design stage, pre-selection gives a comparative fire hazard test method for evaluating the performance of test samples, as well as selection methods for materials, parts, components and assemblies. At the same time, this section further describes how standardized test methods are used to minimize the fire hazard determination procedures of electrical and electronic equipment, and states that the expected fire response performance of the finished product and the possible influence of environmental conditions related to the performance of the finished product should be considered.
